"Speed of Light" is a song written for and about my sci-fi adventure novel, Sentinel. I tried to capture the epic feeling I get when I imagine some of the events of the story. It was fun to try new things in this song.

These days of glory far behind

Surprised by the frightening dark
Besieged upon a frozen world
They got what they came for

I embark on adventure, it calls to me
It prepares me to face my destiny
